Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Urple, LLC, a Georgia limited liability company ("Urple, LLC," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects information when you and your family use the Learnmoji app (the "Service").

We built Learnmoji for children's learning, so protecting family privacy is central to how the Service works. We collect only what we need to run the Service and never sell personal information.

1. Information we collect

Account information: When you sign in through Apple or Google, we receive basic account details such as a unique identifier and, depending on your choices, an email address. We use this to create and secure your account.

Child profile information you provide: To match practice to the right level, a parent may add a child's first name (or nickname), grade level, and birth month and year. You choose what to enter; a real name is not required.

Learning activity: We store the practice prompts you write, the practice sets generated, your children's answers and scores, and progress such as stars and streaks.

Settings: We store family preferences, such as chosen subjects and your parent-gate PIN (the PIN is used to restrict access to the parent area).

Technical information: We may collect limited technical data needed to operate the app reliably, such as basic device and diagnostic information.

2. Children’s privacy (COPPA notice to parents)

Learnmoji is intended to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian. Any information about a child is provided and controlled by the parent, at the parent's direction, through the parent's verified account, and we ask for your affirmative consent to this Policy before a child profile can be created.

From the child we collect only learning activity while they practice: their answers, scores, and progress (such as stars and streaks), tied to the profile you created. The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking, and no social features, and children cannot make their information public through the Service.

We use children's information solely to provide the learning Service to your family. We do not disclose children's personal information to third parties for advertising or marketing, do not use it for targeted advertising, and never sell it. We do not require a child to disclose more information than is reasonably necessary to participate.

Parents have the right to review their child's information, have it deleted, and refuse to permit further collection or use of it. You can review, update, or delete your children's information at any time from within the app (including deleting your entire account under Settings), or by contacting us at hello@urple.com. If you believe we have collected information from a child without appropriate parental involvement, please contact us and we will delete it.

3. How we use information

We use information to: create and secure accounts; generate practice sets tailored to a child's grade and the parent's request; track progress and award in-app rewards; save your family's preferences across devices; operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Service; and comply with legal obligations.

4. AI processing

To generate practice questions and hints, and to read practice text aloud, we send the practice prompt you write and related context (such as the target grade level, subject, and the text to be spoken) to third-party artificial-intelligence providers that process it on our behalf — currently OpenRouter, Inc., which routes requests to model providers such as Google (Gemini models).

These requests are made from our servers, not from your device, so AI providers do not receive your child's name, birth date, account identity, or device and network identifiers. We send only what is needed to generate the practice or audio.

Please avoid entering sensitive personal information into practice prompts.

5. How we share information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not disclose children's personal information to third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes. We share information only as follows:

Service providers: With vendors who perform services for us under obligations of confidentiality — currently Supabase, Inc. (database hosting, authentication, and server functions), OpenRouter, Inc. and its model providers such as Google (AI practice generation and read-aloud audio, as described in Section 4), and Apple or Google (sign-in, per your choice). We will update this list if our providers change.

Legal and safety: When required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public.

Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this Privacy Policy or notify you of any changes.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the specific purposes described in this Policy, and never indefinitely. In short: account, child profile, and learning-activity information is kept while your account is active; when you delete your account (or a child profile) from within the app, the corresponding information is deleted from our production systems immediately, and residual copies in routine backups are purged within 30 days.

Operational server logs are retained for no more than 30 days. Records of your parental consent are kept while your account is active as evidence of that consent, and are deleted with the account. We may retain limited information longer only where the law requires it.

7. Security

We maintain a written information security program with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of children's information. These include encryption in transit and at rest, per-family access controls enforced at the database layer, server-side handling of all AI requests so children's identities are never exposed to AI providers, and no third-party advertising or analytics code in the app. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

You can review and edit family profiles, change preferences, and delete your account and its data from within the app. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to complain to a regulator. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@urple.com.

9. Third-party services

Signing in and some features rely on third parties such as Apple and Google. Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as within the app, and update the "last updated" date above.
